Something quite personal...

For the last couple of weeks I've listening to friends or people I generally know to talk about them not being approved by the society because of their weight, height and looks in general and once again I started preaching because I have never let these kind of stuff to bring me down. Their reaction is always the same though; 'Well, you don't have a problem, you are a model and everyone thinks you are gorgeous', but that's not true. Everyone has their insecurities and whoever believes that models or everyday girls don't have issues with themselves they are wrong. I have been told a gazillion times to lose weight, not because I am fat but because I am not skinny, this causes me stress and anxiety, but nobody has the right to make you lose faith in yourself, even if you work at the beauty industry. Beauty for me is whatever comes from within our souls and hearts. When someone looks pretty but inside of him/her there is nothing warm and welcoming people realize it and instantly he/she becomes ugly, the same goes for the opposite. So, get out there and show people you don't care about their opinion, because as my best friend says; HATERS GONNA HATE!

Let the frenzy begin!

So yesterday and today were two of the craziest days of summer! Firsty because I had a huge fight with my mum and then because of my job, which was actually the reason me and my mum fought. See for the last couple of months i work at a greek model agency and my mum freaked out because i am running from casting to casting and she doesn't want me to neglect school, but today she was ok and she let me do my castings and came with me to my agency to see my booker that was when she finally calmed down for good :) Anyway, the castings drive me nuts but I really enjoy them! They are tiring but fun and i must admit to myself that I am trying to get the best out of it! I was the main face of a commercial which is now shown on TV and i am really proud about that! I am going to upload the commercial as soon as I make surre it's on youtube! Hope you're having a great week! Talk to you soon!

This will sound common!

Well I have an issue every now and then with my internet connection and the frequency I blog, but I believe that this time I am going to make it and by make it I mean blog almost every day or at least 3 times a week, not only because of the audience that I don't still have, but basically for me. This blog helps me calm down and share my inspirations every now and then, so now I am going to start over and I hope it will be fun this time!:)

This has been the longer and hopefully the last time a leave such a big period of time without posting anything! But I had my exams and everything was moving so fast! Actually I have some pretty food news that I am going to share officially tomorrow! Now that my exams are over I am able to enjoy myself and try some new things that I have on my mind! RoyalWedding

Everyone has been talking about the Royal Wedding especially this week and finally the ceremony took place in an amazing abbey in London of course! But the biggest secret in the history of fashion was Katherine's( not Kate's) wedding gown, which finally was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. She looked stunningly beautiful! And although everyone has been talking WAY too much about it, I must admit it was worth it! It totally felt like a Disney fairytale, especially when they came out and went into the car... Awww, maybe Harry is going to marry me!! Just kidding of course! Let William and Kate be happy and blissful for as long as they are together! :)

DaysOfOurLives

This last few days have been the most amazing days EVER! We've been out and about with school for 4 days and it was amazing! Having your friends around you 24/7 is a feeling that I would really like to feel again! We were laughing all the time, we took tons and tons of pictures and we basically had fun! Now, we have our Easter holidays and it's time to relax, but also study for the final exams!:S

Being far from my internet connection is like not being able to walk around! I've become addicted to internet and all these days I've been desperately trying to find wireless access to coffee houses in order to log in from my iPhone! This is lame but anyway! The inspiration of this post came while I was sitting at Starbucks all alone, waiting for my mum to finish her shopping, people were waiting for their coffees and others were sitting and talking to each other. What I realized was that almost everyone was smiling no matter what's going on in their lives and I was really glad to see that! Because even in the tough days we should smile and remain positive, because life is too short and we own it to ourselves to live it to the fullest! Plus a smile is priceless!:)

I am a huge fan of shopping because it makes me want to be creative! Try things I've never tried before! I believe that we should experiment on our personal style and on our life in general. So I decided that this last week of sales I should visit our shopping Mall in order to search for something that may be waiting there for me.
I enriched my wardrobe with a few pairs of shoes and two books that I was searching for a long time! I has a great time!:)

I really enjoy learning about new make up tricks so I am going to share in this post and in some following posts the new trends in make-up, they have been also used on the runway for Spring-Summer 2011! Enjoy!

Minimal
Flawless skin, perfect eyelashes and eyebrows and moisturized lips! These are the characteristics of a natural make up and the result is obviously fresh and feminine.

Get inspired by:

Aigner, Chloe, Custo Barcelona, Stella McCartney, Burberry, D&G, V. Leroy, H.Of Holland etc.

Quick and Perfect;
Choose a foundation that gives you a nice color, that is smooth and of course hides all the flaws of your skin. Use a neutral eye shadow on the upper eyelid and one layer of mascara. With little blush on the cheeks and two layers of lip gloss, you are ready to go!

Cheek to Cheek;
Would you like to give more emphasis on the cheeks? Then highlight your cheekbones more. The perfect shade of blush is pink, nothing out of the ordinary!:)

Bright Look;
You can choose between two ways in order to achieve that look. Firstly you can apply a white eye pencil on the base of lower lash line or use a pink or a glossy shadow.

      

SpecialOlympics

This year my country, Greece, is going to host the Special Olympics! I am too proud for that, so I will be a volunteer this summer, with my best friend! It will be one of the most unique experiences I'll ever have! I've never done something similar before and I must admit that at first I hesitated but after an athlete of Special Olympics came to our school and talked to us I changed my mind! Not because I pitied them , but because I would really like to be a part of these whole puzzle in order to help and show my care towards these people.
I believe their doing something really special, they transform what others believe is a difficulty or a flaw, into something that they can receive pleasure and happiness.Being around a girl like Olga, one of the athletes, made me realize that they don't differ from us as much as I thought. They express their feelings, they discuss about things they like, they do things they like, they simply need some help and support... I am more than happy, words can't explain the way I feel about that choice, I hope many of you will join us this summer!:)

The last 10 days were so crazy! School tests, dance lessons, friends having problems with relationships and other stuff, me having my issues and all the fuss that has been going on made me ignore my blog... I'm really sorry, from now on I am going to post every day! It will be something like an everyday goal!:P

Anyway, this week has come to an end and after all these sunny days in Athens, last night rain decided to visit our beautiful city! It feels so great hearing the rain outside your window, talking with family by the fireplace and getting closer to each other... It's a bless! I have so many things to tell you, every day life is full of surprises and in the next posts you will see all the things that have inspired me, all the new dreams and generally all about me!
